Elmo LIVE!!!!

Back in May my cousin Tiffany, who works at the Comcast Arena in Everett, WA, was able to snag four tickets to see Elmo LIVE! Claire and I took her friend Olivia and her mom Fairleigh and had a blast. The girls thought it was the greatest thing ever and were adorable dancing and clapping to the music. Thanks again Tiff!

Heather and Reid's Wedding

On April 25, 2009, Bridget's cousin Heather Bartholomew married Reid Johnasson at Hidden Meadows in Snohomish, WA. Claire had fun playing with her cousins Abby and Paris, dancing, and eating red velvet cake! Yum!

Portland- April 2009

In mid-April we made a trip to Portland to visit Angie and Kendra. Grandma Carol and Grandpa Dave came too so it was a lot of fun. We love visiting Portland, which is one of our favorite cities, and Claire always has fun playing with her Aunties (she refers to them as a single unit named Auntie Angie-Kendra). Ang and Kendra made Claire a tutu to match the ones they wore on their worst-day-of-the-year bike race. We had fun at the park and visiting coffee shops and restaurants but mostly we just had fun hanging out with eachother.

Gymnastics Class

Claire is, and has always been, quite an active and adventurous little thing so we decided to sign her up for gymnastics last Jan-Feb. She was in the 'Bouncin' Bunnies' class at the Cascade Elite Gym, which is only a few blocks from our house, and she did awesome. At only 18 months old, it is amazing at how much she can already do and how fearless she is (this part can be a bit scary which is why we would rather her jump off of things in a padded room).

Grandma Carol bought her a Disney Princess leotard for her class and, I know that I'm biased but, she was so freakin' cute in it! See for yourself...

First haircut and more...

By the end of January, Claire had really begun to sport a wispy mullet so we finally broke down and got her hair cut for the first time at the end of January. I had been so apprehensive about it because even though her hair was looking a bit scraggly and I had to put it in a pony tail on the top of her head every day, it was her baby hair and I don't think I wanted to admit that my baby was growing up. Despite all of this, we finally did it and it turned out SOOOO cute. She did instantly look so much older, but the little 'bob' they gave her fits her perfectly.

Pregnant again!

Michael and I found out we were pregnant around the beginning of December but waited to spread the news until I was a little further along. Here is an ultrasound image of Baby August #2 from the end of January, about 12 weeks along. My due date is August 4, 2009.

Christmas 2008

The holiday season was a lot of fun this year. Claire was about 17 months old and more aware of everything this year. We had fun picking out our tree (even if it was from a lot on Highway 99, ha!), decorating it (mostly with Michael's childhood decorations, i.e. Bert and Ernie), and then of course celebrating Christmas with the family. We were able to have Christmas at our house this year which was a lot of fun for us. We enjoyed cooking a HUGE prime rib, twice baked potatoes, and all the fixin's. Claire loved opening her presents and was showered with awesome gifts from everyone.

Bridget's 30th Birthday on the Key Penninsula

For Bridget's 30th birthday (November 3, 2008) we went out to the Hinkley family cabin on Key Penninsula. We got to spend some time on the beach collecting shells and playing with the giant maple leaves.
